Description of the Chinese girder

Girchevnik Chinese is a perennial herb. This plant is endowed with a rather powerful root, the thickness of which will be about two to three centimeters, while in the largest specimens this thickness will be about four to five centimeters. The stems of the Chinese gypsum can be either single, or among several pieces, at the nodes such stems will be slightly curved, together with the leaves they are bare, but inside they will be hollow, while at the top they are branched. The height of the stems of this plant will be about fifty to one hundred and fifty centimeters. The leaves of the Chinese gypsum are triangular in outline, the lower ones are on long petioles, while at the base they will pass into an expanded, but not swollen vagina. The umbrellas of this plant are endowed with about fifteen to thirty slightly rough rays, and will be about four to nine centimeters across. The umbrellas are multi-flowered, while their rays on the upper side will be vaguely rough, and in diameter they will be about one and a half centimeters. The fruits of this plant will be ovoid, their length is about four to eight and a half millimeters, and the width will be equal to two to five millimeters.

The flowering of Chinese gypsum occurs in the period from July to August. Under natural conditions, this plant can be found in the Far East: in Primorye, Priamurye, Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands. For growth, this plant prefers damp rocks, places along streams, in thickets of tall grasses, as well as in coastal meadow slopes.

Description of the medicinal properties of Chinese gypsum

Chinese gypsum is endowed with very valuable medicinal properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the leaves, roots and rhizomes of this plant.

The rhizomes and roots of this plant contain coumarins, polyacetylene compounds, essential oil, as well as the following phthalides: ligusticumlactone and ligustilide. There is an essential oil in the herb of Chinese girder. It is noteworthy that the fruits of this plant contain coumarins, essential oil, as well as higher essential acids: linoleic, petroselidic, palmitic and petroselinic.

A decoction of the roots, as well as the leaves of this plant, is widely used in Chinese medicine. Such funds are recommended for use in headaches, gynecological and gastric diseases, as well as colds, paralysis and hypertension. At the same time, the extract of the roots of this plant is endowed with a rather weak antitumor activity.

In case of hypertension, it is recommended to use the following remedy: for its preparation, you will need to take one teaspoon of chopped roots of Chinese gypsum in one glass of water. This mixture should be boiled for about three to four minutes, and then left to infuse for two hours, after which the mixture should be thoroughly filtered. This remedy should be taken half a glass about three to four times a day before a meal.

With a stomach ulcer, the following remedy is effective: to prepare it, you will need to take two tablespoons of crushed dry leaves of this plant for three hundred milliliters of water. Then it is recommended to boil such a mixture for about three to four minutes, and then leave to infuse for two hours and strain thoroughly. This remedy is taken half a glass three times a day.
