Alien snakehead is a perennial plant. The rhizome of such a plant will be quite thick and woody, the height of the stem is about twenty to seventy centimeters, from the very base such a stem will be branched. The lower leaves of the alien snakehead are on petioles that will be almost equal to the plate. Such leaves are lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, and also serrated. The upper leaves of this plant are often whole-edged and short-petiolate. The flowers of the alien snakehead are located at the top of the stem and they form false whorls, about five to fifteen centimeters long. The calyx of this plant is two-lipped, its length is thirteen to fifteen millimeters, the corolla is painted in light bluish-purple or dark blue tones, and sometimes this color can be white and even pink. The length of the corolla of the foreign snakehead will be about twenty seven to thirty two millimeters.

Under natural conditions, this plant is found in Altai in Western Siberia, in the Daursky and Angara-Sayan regions of Eastern Siberia, as well as in the Balkhash and Dzhungar-Tarbagatai regions of Central Asia. For growth, the foreign snakehead prefers gravelly slopes, rocky slopes, as well as rocks up to the mid-mountain belt. It should be noted that this plant is a very valuable honey plant.

Description of the medicinal properties of the foreign snakehead

Alien snakehead is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. Grass includes flowers, leaves and stems.

The presence of such valuable medicinal properties is explained by the content of alkaloids, coumarin, essential oil and the flavonoid luteolin in the aerial part of the plant. The seeds of this plant contain a fatty oil, which will include the following acids: oleic, stearic, palmitic, linolenic and linoleic.

An infusion prepared on the basis of the herb of this plant is recommended to be used for gastralgia, gastritis, as well as in the form of a hemostatic agent, and besides that, it is also used as a lotion as an antineoplastic agent.

In an experiment, it was proved that the extract of this plant, depending on the concentration, will stimulate or depress the central nervous system. Also, such an extract will have antihypertensive properties, while also exhibiting antibacterial activity.

The essential oil can be used in cosmetics and perfumery, and it is also endowed with antifungal and antibacterial properties.

With dyskinesia of the biliary tract, it is recommended to use the following rather effective remedy based on a foreign snakehead: to prepare such a remedy, you will need to take one tablespoon of dry crushed herb of this plant for one glass of boiling water. The resulting mixture should be left to infuse for one hour, after which this mixture is filtered very carefully. Take the resulting product based on this plant, one tablespoon three times a day before the start of a meal. It is important to note that in order to ensure the greatest efficiency when taking such a remedy based on a foreign snakehead, one should observe not only all the norms for the preparation of such a remedy, but also strictly follow all the norms of its intake.
