Description of the stinking snakehead
The smelly snakehead is an annual plant endowed with a reddish stem, which is short-hairy, most often such a stem is branched from the base, and its height is about five to fifteen centimeters. The leaves of this plant can be both ovoid and oblong-ovate, such leaves taper towards the base. The flowers of the stinking snakehead are on short legs in six-flowered false whorls, which are located at the end of the stem. The length of the calyx is eight to nine millimeters, it is two-lipped, and the rim is painted in light purple tones, and its length is fifteen to eighteen millimeters.
The flowering of the stinking snakehead falls on the period from June to August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found on the territory of Mongolia, as well as in the Daursky and Angara-Sayan regions of Western Siberia. For growth, the plant prefers places along the expensive, rocky steppe slopes near dwellings up to the mid-mountain belt.
Description of the medicinal properties of the stinking snakehead
The smelly snakehead is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. Grass includes leaves, flowers, and stems. The presence of such valuable healing properties is explained by the content of flavonoids and essential oil in the plant.
As for traditional medicine, an infusion prepared on the basis of the leaves or flowers of this plant is quite widespread here. Such funds are recommended for use in vomiting and diarrhea, as well as as a wound healing and hemostatic agent.
The powder of the flowers of this plant is used in the fight against scurvy and its complications, as well as in ascites, arthritis and as an antipyretic agent. An infusion of this herb is used for gingivitis and stomatitis. Shredded fresh snakehead smelly herb is used topically as a wound healing agent for various cuts, wounds, abscesses and boils. It should be noted that the chemical composition of this plant has not yet been fully studied, therefore, the appearance of new remedies based on the stinking snakehead is possible.
For stomatitis and gingivitis, for rinsing, as well as in the form of lotions, the following is used as a wound healing agent: for the preparation of such a remedy, three tablespoons of crushed dry leaves of a stinking snakehead are taken for half a liter of boiling water. The resulting mixture should be left to insist for two hours, after which this agent is very thoroughly filtered. Take such a remedy for diarrhea and vomiting one third of a glass or half a glass three times a day before the start of a meal. It is important to note that in order to achieve the greatest efficiency when taking such a remedy based on a stinking snakehead, one should not only strictly observe all the rules for preparing such a remedy, but also all the rules for taking this remedy.
For ascites, arthritis and as an antipyretic agent, it is recommended to use the powder of smelly snakehead flowers. Such a remedy is taken one gram three times a day, washed down with plenty of water.
