If partial shade is chosen for the landing site, then in such a situation the size of the flowers will be miniature. In shaded areas, evening primrose most likely will not bloom. In fact, in relation to the departure of the evening primrose, it is not at all capricious and demanding. Caring for her is needed only to a minimum. Thus, even a beginner in the world of floriculture will be able to cope with the cultivation of this spectacular and attractive flower on their own.

Evening primrose is a plant that can withstand dry weather and lack of moisture. But when grown in a garden or in the country, flowers should be watered on time. In sunny areas, the crop is watered at least once a week. This is especially important if the summer was not rainy, but very hot. Sometimes it is necessary to increase the number of watering in order to avoid wilting of flowers. Waterlogging to this flower does not threaten with root decay, however, if it is not planted in a swampy area.

As a fertilizer for evening primrose, a mixture of components such as potassium and phosphate is used. In general, more often than not, only one top dressing for the entire summer season is enough. It should be performed at the moment when evening primrose buds are being formed. For one square meter of planted plants, just a small teaspoon of fertilizer is enough.

In the autumn period of the year, pruning is required for the flower culture. In this case, only those stems that are completely dry or have faded are destroyed. After completing the procedure, the flowers should be covered with spruce branches or a certain material so that evening primrose can withstand even the lowest temperatures and cold frosts. Evening primrose can grow in one place for several years, but, of course, every year its decorative properties will become weaker. Older plants will already bloom less and shorter in time.

To rejuvenate the flower, you can dig the evening primrose from the soil and, dividing it into several parts, plant it in pre-prepared free areas in the garden. As a rule, September is considered the optimal time for this manipulation.
