Description
The homeland of this plant is South Africa and the Cape of Good Hope. Under natural conditions, a plant can grow up to three meters in height, and up to thirty centimeters in thickness. In a pot, aloe tree-like is able to grow significantly both in width and in height, and the plant will also give a large number of side shoots. Aloe will grow quite quickly, and its height can even be one meter.
In its homeland, this plant can bloom literally all year round, however, in indoor conditions, aloe tree-like can very rarely bloom. Actually, this feature of this plant can be associated with its so-called popular name - agave. The plant received this name for the reason that it blooms almost once every hundred years.
Medicinal use
In traditional official medicine, an extract made from aloe leaves is used. This extract is used for eye diseases, stomach ulcers, and bronchial asthma. Aloe emulsion is very often used for radiation sickness.
It is quite easy to make aloe juice at home. For this purpose, you will need to cut off the lower leaves of aloe tree, and then rinse them with warm water, then grind and squeeze through cheesecloth. For this purpose, it is recommended to use those plants that have already reached the age of three. Aloe juice is recommended to be consumed immediately after it has been obtained. Indeed, after a few hours, the juice of this plant is able to lose all its healing properties. It is recommended to take juice in a teaspoon three times a day, about thirty minutes before the start of a meal. However, different forms of the disease may require different doses and frequency of administration. To preserve the aloe juice for a long time, you will need to prepare an alcoholic tincture or an alcoholic extract from it.
An alcoholic tincture is obtained as follows: prepared aloe juice is taken, and then drinking alcohol is added to it, while four parts of the juice will require one part of alcohol. If you make an alcoholic tincture from vodka, then in this case you will need to take two parts of juice and one part of vodka. The resulting alcoholic tincture is recommended to be stored in the refrigerator, and it can be used for treatment as an alternative to fresh aloe juice.
Due to the presence of bactericidal properties, aloe juice can be successfully used for various burns and trophic ulcers. Also, aloe juice can destroy various pathogenic microbes: those that excite E.coli, Staphylococcus aureus and even diphtheria.
For diseases of the stomach and duodenal ulcer, as well as for gastritis, chronic diseases of the liver and gallbladder, you will need to take one teaspoon of the juice of this plant three times a day, also half an hour before meals. In the case of herpes, the affected lesion should be treated with juice; in addition, it is also recommended to take pure aloe juice several times a day, one teaspoonful shortly before meals. It is worth noting that the effective effect of aloe is noted even with chronic forms of herpes.
With a cold, fresh aloe vera juice can be instilled into the nose, and with cataracts, the juice is instilled into the eyes, but first the juice should be diluted with water in the following proportions: ten parts of water for one part of the juice.
In folk medicine for pulmonary tuberculosis, aloe juice is taken internally, while the juice is mixed with honey and many other ingredients. Such a recipe can be effective and, if desired, improve appetite, and even to normalize the menstrual cycle.
