Cleaning
• Dust on walls covered with wallpaper can be removed with a broom / vacuum cleaner. The dirt is cleaned with a dry cloth sprinkled with oatmeal. You can use bread crumb, an eraser. Grease stains - magnesia powder.
• Copper products look great after peeling with raw potatoes.
• Rust streaks are removed by hydrogen peroxide with ammonia. They are removed from the enameled surface and faience with oxalic acid (5% solution).
• The broom will serve for a long time if it is kept in salty hot water (5-10 minutes) before the first use.
• Baguette, gilded frames will shine after wiping with a cut onion and polishing with a cloth.
• Dry white and BF-2 glue will help to restore damage to the enamel in the bath. The problem area is cleaned with sandpaper, degreased, dried. A little white is poured onto a thin layer of glue, leveled with a brush. The intervals between coats are 1, 5 hours. Final drying 4 days.
• Before painting window frames, lubricate the adjacent part of the glass with vinegar - the paint will not stick. You can stick masking tape flush.
• The old painted surface of doors, window sills, frames will be polished to a shine with a sawdust composition: a handful of small sawdust is added with st / l of vinegar.
Glass
• Frosted glass will not deteriorate and will look excellent if washed with hot water and vinegar.
• Windows will sparkle clean from washing with the addition of starch to the water.
• Wipe a mirror or window on the terrace with a cut of a raw bulb to prevent the flies from incubating.
• The glass will not fog or ice if you use a strong saline solution. Dampen the surface and wipe dry. Glycerin will also help.
• From the bouquets in the vase there will be no green plaque remaining if you put a yellow coin on the bottom (10 rubles, 10-50 kopecks).
• If there is no hot water, then the glass is ideally washed with cold starch (st / spoon per liter).
• The best old method: after washing the window, the remaining water is wiped off with a newspaper. No dirt and streaks remain.
• Home remedy for windows, glass in cupboards: a box of tooth powder in a glass of water (2-3 spoons). The mixture is applied to the surface on both sides and left to dry. Then remove with a dry cloth or paper towel.
• The lenses of the glasses will not sweat from the temperature drop (when entering a warm room from the street). It is necessary to wipe them with a mixture of glycerin, liquid soap (proportions 3: 7) + a few drops of turpentine. Wipe with a flannel after application.
• The crunch will shine with delight after wiping with a woolen cloth using powder (starch + blue).
• A jug, decanter, vase with a narrow neck will be washed off if you put torn paper with crumbled eggshells inside. You need to fill it with water and shake it well.
• You can get the shine of glasses and other glassware after rinsing with a water solution of vinegar and salt. After this procedure, rinse with clean water.
Smells
• In the refrigerator, unpleasant odors will not occur if once a month it is wiped inside with a solution of soda (1 l of water + 1 st / l). A piece of black bread, crushed tablets of activated carbon will help.
• Ground coffee beans neutralize unpleasant notes in kitchen and wardrobes.
• In the bread bin, the smell goes away after wiping it with a napkin dipped in vinegar.
• Plastic jars or other containers will be cleaned of any odor after contrast rinsing. First, pour hot water, then cold (2-3 times).
• From a metal box, cans will remove any odors if a match is burned there.
• Shelves with dishes and groceries will always have a neutral odor if you put pieces of charcoal in them.
Floors
• Linoleum will last longer and look good if lubricated with linseed oil once a year. After processing, let it stand for a day and rub it with a woolen cloth until it shines.
• It is better to wipe the parquet with cold water with glycerin (spoon to glass). The stain can be removed: rub with lemon and rinse with hot soapy water, then clean.
• The ink stain on the carpet / rug is cleaned with hot milk and a brush. And from linoleum - pumice, eraser or fine sandpaper. After the procedure, linseed oil is applied and sanded with a cloth.
Kitchen
Fat deposits form in the pipes under the kitchen sink. This fact leads to blockages. Fat can be washed off with boiling water + dishwashing detergent. Baking soda effectively cleans the drain pipe. It is necessary to fill in the neck half a pack of powder and pour warm water. Soda + vinegar or citric acid "works" even better.
The scale in the kettle will disappear when boiled with citric acid. For a 2-liter teapot, half a teaspoon is enough. Can be boiled with lemon peels, vinegar essence. The coffee pot is cleaned with boiling water and lemon slices. So that the oilcloth does not crack and lasts longer, you need to periodically wipe it with milk, to which vinegar is added.
