Today we will continue our conversation about automatic watering

Start here.

So, after the scheme is ready, you should start calculating the throughput of the pipeline. First, the diameter of the pipe of the water supply source is determined, because it is to this pipe that the pipeline of the automatic irrigation system will be connected. On the basis of knowledge about the diameter, the throughput of the pipe is calculated: such tables can be found on the Internet.

The next point of work will be to determine the locations of the sprinklers on your site. Modern sprinklers are equipped with different operating ranges, which can even reach twenty-five centimeters. The number of sprinklers should also be selected. On the site plan, circles should be outlined - the radius of action. You should also be aware that any sprinkler has a working pressure and water flow. Knowing the actual flow rate of each sprinkler, you can choose the right number of heads. On the site plan, it should also be noted those sprinklers that will work at the same time. This will be required in order to connect solenoid valves here over time.

The actual determination of the installation site for such valves and controllers will be the next item. So, only one solenoid valve should be connected to one group of sprinklers, which are responsible for one section. In addition, experts recommend branching the pipeline in one place: in this case, all the valves will be close to each other. This proximity of the solenoid valves contributes to the ease of repair and operation itself.

The next step is to plan the location of the main pipeline and its branches. Actually, this stage will be the last in the project of independent creation of an automatic irrigation system. This stage is endowed with great responsibility, because if such a layout is performed incorrectly, in the future there may be a significant loss of pressure, excessive consumption of material and, as a result, reduced irrigation efficiency.

On the lawn irrigation project, we mark the places for laying the main pipe and branches with lines. We draw your attention to the fact that the pipes should bend as rarely as possible and be laid to the sprinklers along the shortest path. Another important point is the diameter of the pipe. The main pipe must be of a larger diameter than the pipeline branching from it.

After all these actions have been carried out, it is time for a general check of the entire project. There are many things to consider in this check, including the coverage area of the sprinklers and how much it will cover the required irrigation area, as well as the compliance of the pumping station capacity with the required irrigation. After everything has been carefully checked several times, you can start choosing materials. After purchasing all the necessary materials, it is time to install the equipment.

First of all, the territory is marked out in such a way as it is reflected in your plan. After that, on such marked lines, it is necessary to dig those trenches that will be intended for laying the pipeline in the future. The optimal circumstance is considered when the depth of the trench is below the depth of freezing of the soil by about one meter. However, then you will have to spend more energy on carrying out such work.

After that, already on the surface, the pipeline will be connected to the valves. After that, all these elements will be laid in the trench. The trench should not be filled up immediately; first, you will need to try to supply water to the pipeline itself and thereby check the tightness of the system. By the way, this method will clean the pipeline from dirt. In the event that everything is functioning properly, sprinklers should be screwed on and the trench filled up.

Actually, carrying out such not particularly difficult work will allow you to create a convenient irrigation system with your own hands. This will save not only your financial resources, but also make you feel like a real owner of a summer cottage, where everything is created independently.
