The flowers of this plant are rather small, they gather in a corymbose inflorescence, endowed with a leaf-shaped bracts. The calyx of the heart-shaped linden will be separate and consists of five sepals, the same corolla and quite a lot of long stamens will be fused together in five bunches. The pistil of this plant consists of five carpels, endowed with a five-celled ovary. The fruit of the heart-shaped linden is a nutlet endowed with one or two seeds.
Under natural conditions, this plant is found on the territory of the European part of Russia, but it will not go beyond the Urals, it is also found in the Caucasus, and in Bashkiria it will form continuous forests. Quite often, this plant is bred in parks and alleys as an ornamental tree.
