The correct placement of plants on the site, timely care, the formation of a hedge, will help create a unique living "structure". Let's take a closer look at agrotechnical measures

Landing

The seedlings are staggered in several rows, thickening the planting. Set the distance in the furrow 30-40 cm, between the lines 30-35 cm. Form the final size of the "wall" 50 cm. The height depends on the purpose of 0.5-2 m.

In early May, they dig a trench 50 cm deep. Fill it halfway with a fertile mixture of peat, compost, sand in a ratio of 2: 2: 1. Spill water, set the seedlings according to the scheme, using a taut twine. Sprinkle with the remaining substrate. Compaction of the near-trunk zone. At first, carefully monitor soil moisture.

Care

For better survival, the following agrotechnical techniques are used:

1. Give preference to sunny or semi-shady areas. In dense shade, even the most hardy specimens stretch out, forming a loose crown.

2. Cultivate the garden soil with a fertile substrate, loosening its structure on loam.

3. Choose a planting scheme, the distance between plants, taking into account the growth rate, shoot-forming ability of the rocks. The greatest density is achieved with a checkerboard fit.

4. Form a "fence" profile, focusing on the best illumination of the root zone of the lower tier. The best option is trapezoidal, tapering towards the top. The angle of inclination of lateral shoots is 70-80 degrees.

5. In the first 2-3 years, timely watering, top dressing with complex fertilizers, and loosening of the near-trunk zone play a decisive role.

6. Carry out a regular haircut from 2 to 6 times per season, removing shoots just above the previous level. The frequency of formation depends on the rock and the desired wall density.

Let us dwell in more detail on the last point.

Formation of the "fence"

In the first year after planting, the tape is pulled at a height of 30 cm from the ground. Shoots are cut at the base of the bushes according to the level. Leave unchanged until the end of the season.

In the second year, in the spring, last year's growths are removed at a height of 40-45 cm from the soil. With a rectangular shape, the side faces are limited to the same dimensions. Over the summer, 2-3 pruning is carried out, gradually increasing the length of the growing branches.

For the third year, the "fence" is brought to a given shape. The first haircut is done in early May, the last in September. The border is ready! Remains the annual maintenance of even edges.

Malicious factors

Over time, diseases and pests of shrub plantations can appear on the plantings. Due to the thickened scheme, the structures are poorly blown. There is a likelihood of infection with powdery mildew, rust, spots. Spores of the fungus overwinter on plant debris, bark. The most common pests are: aphids, leaf beetles, ticks, sawflies.

Complex mixtures, consisting of copper-containing preparations (Hom, Bordeaux liquid) and fufanon, applied before budding in the spring on the bark and adjacent soil, reduce harmful factors to a minimum. During this period, the wintering stages are destroyed. One early treatment replaces 3-4 year olds.

If pests or diseases are found during the season, additional spraying with the appropriate preparation is carried out at intervals of 2 weeks.

Preventive actions:

• balanced diet with no frills;

• good illumination;

• timely detection of a harmful factor;

• correct pruning;

• removal of plant residues from the site or incineration;

• digging of the trunk circle in late autumn.

Helps reduce the likelihood of mass distribution.

Application

In Russia, green labyrinths of bushes were fashionable designs in famous palaces. The planting system in the center ended with a comfortable bench in the shade. Not all participants made it to the cherished goal. The high walls made it impossible to see the curves and paths of the exit from the maze.

Nowadays, a living "fence" is used for bordering a lawn, paths, as a frame for a flower garden. They decorate the planting of vegetables, greens in a fashionable decorative garden.

High options are able to replace heavy, expensive building structures, reliably protect the boundaries of the site. Thorny specimens make living "walls" impassable.

Observing simple care, you can form a beautiful profile of living plants that can decorate the garden area.
