Narcissus Tacetta, or bouquet, is a perennial bulbous plant. Belongs to the Amaryllidaceae family. Grows wild only in Southern Europe. In all other countries of the world it is used as a pot plant.

Characteristics of culture

Narcissus Tacetta flowers are small, white or yellow in color, collected at the top of a bare, leafless peduncle. Unlike other types of daffodils, where a maximum of 1-2 inflorescences are located on the stem, in a bouquet daffodil their number can reach up to 15 pieces per arrow. The flower consists of six lobes and a small tubular crown in which the stamens are located. The crown is usually yellow in color, but white can also be found. Narcissus Tacetta can be either simple and smooth or terry.

Also daffodil Tacetta has: a small oval, slightly flattened bulb with a diameter of 2 to 5 cm with many neat scales; leafless stem about 40 - 50 cm long; narrow, long, basal foliage of green or gray-green hue, the length of the leaves is approximately equal to the height of the stem. Around one peduncle there are from 3 to 6 leaves.

Landing

In nature, the daffodil Tacetta reproduces vegetatively, but since it is a rather capricious flower (it does not tolerate a temperate climate, drafts, drought, scorching sun), it is grown all over the world, including in Russia, in greenhouses or at home. … For the holiday on March 8, all the counters of Russian flower shops are filled with pots with these beautiful flowers.

In indoor conditions, the daffodil Tacetta lives no more than one year, after which the bulb does not start up the peduncle anymore, so you should not try to save it, but purchase a new one in advance for planting next year. The purchased bulbs must be stored in a cold, dry room at a temperature of at least 5 degrees before planting.

Narcissus Tacetta bulbs are planted in the fall in a low and spacious container. You can shift the beginning of planting to any time of the year, but in autumn the flowers take root better. Place the onion in a container and press down slightly so that it disappears into the ground by one quarter. You need to plant the bulbs tightly, but so that they do not come into contact with each other, and there is a distance of at least three centimeters from the bulb to the sides of the container.

In order to achieve rapid flowering, the tubers must be planted in compost. The room where the planted bulbs are located should be dark and cool, the maximum temperature during the adaptation period should not exceed 10 degrees Celsius. Only after a few weeks, when the sprouts reach 8 -12 centimeters, the container with the bulbs can be taken out into soft diffused light, but make sure that during this period they do not fall on direct sunlight. In the sun, they can only be moved after a week.

As the sprouts get used to the light a little, and before the inflorescences appear, the plants should be placed again in a bright but cool place. A container with tubers placed in the sun must be turned periodically so that the sun's rays are evenly distributed. During the planting period, before flowering, the bulbs need to be well watered, make sure that the soil is always slightly damp, but not too much, otherwise the tubers will rot.

To prevent water from stagnating at the bottom of the container and the bulbs not to die, it is best to make holes in the bottom of the container to drain excess moisture. From the moment of planting to the moment of flowering, it takes about two months, if after this time there are no flowers, then you need to increase watering - the tubers do not have enough moisture. If the bulbs of the daffodil Tacetta are healthy, then they do not need feeding, since this is an annual plant, and after a year it can be thrown away, but if the sprouts do not sprout, add a light nutritious substrate.
