Here is a series of effective, original, and most importantly simple tips I would like to propose to take note of gardeners and gardeners. We have already given some of these recommendations in "Original Advice for the Gardener-1"

Beer for … slugs

Do not drink beer yourself in the country, it is better to serve it as bait for snails and slugs. Pots of beer need to be dug in (set) in the cabbage beds. Slugs will quickly switch from the succulent leaves of plants to a more interesting aroma and taste. And about the cabbage at the same moment will be forgotten and for a long time.

Hilling for cabbage

Cabbage, no matter what kind it is, respects frequent hilling very much. If done from time to time after rain, cabbage will have additional root systems. And her nutrition will become more effective. The only type of cabbage that should not be hilled is kohlrabi, since due to this process, the growth of the stems deteriorates and their quality suffers.

Something to improve tomatoes

You need to loosen the tomato in the beds, but finely, carefully so that its roots are not damaged. Do not water the tomatoes at the root, but rather pour the water along the furrows between the beds. Especially if the weather is cool. Otherwise, the tomato will begin to shower with flowers, and its ovaries may get sick.

Harvesting tomatoes

If ripe or ripening tomatoes are picked early in the morning and put in wooden boxes one by one, with the stalk on top, then they will stay in this way much better and longer.

Pepper picking

Experienced gardeners know that on pepper bushes, part of the upper flowers with abundant flowering must be removed (pinned). In fact, this procedure should be done only in hot and humid summers. And in the heat, with dry summer, peppers should not be pinned, since the leaf mass of the plant keeps the soil under the bush from evaporation of moisture from it, which is already so little in a hot dry summer.

About germination and freshness of carrot seeds

Not every summer resident knows that in fact, carrot seeds sprout only for 1-2 years. Before selecting the seeds for sowing, it is recommended to lightly rub them in your hands and … smell. They should have a pronounced carrot flavor. Only in this case can we say with confidence that the seeds are fresh. If you plant carrots without such a check, then you risk losing 2-3 weeks while the seeds will sprout, in order to make sure of the quality of carrot seeds by their shoots.

Bulbous seeds and their germination

Onions must not be sown with old seeds. Only the seeds of the last summer season are suitable. After another year, the seeds simply lose their germination. The larger the bulb, the more leaves the plant will have on the surface. Large bulbs have up to 15 feather leaves.

What is whitening garlic?

The most delicious and vitamin-rich part of young garlic is its lower part, the one that is hidden from prying eyes in the soil. Therefore, those who love these tender green leaves should, during the growth of the garlic bulb, podkulit it on wet soil. This procedure is called garlic bleaching.

More often picking cucumbers - better their growth

As soon as the first cucumbers appear on the branches of their leaves, you should increase their collection every day. It would be even more correct - to collect cucumbers twice a day in the morning and evening, to give other cucumbers in the garden more productively to grow.

To increase the yield of pumpkin

For a pumpkin, even without looking at its unpretentiousness, you also need to be able to take care of it in order to increase the yield. Additional plant loops that appear during its growth must be pinned, sprinkled with earth to form additional roots on them. This will provide better nutrition for the pumpkin root system and increase its yield. But! When caring for the pumpkin soil, when loosening it, when caring for the plant and removing weeds, you do not need to move the whips from place to place!

Nettle as a top dressing for vegetable plants

Nettle is an excellent plant for feeding garden crops, which has a lot of vitamins and minerals. In the spring and summer, before the formation of seeds on the nettle, you need to collect its young stems, grind them, pour into the container to half of it, pour water 10 cm above the nettle from above. Then the container is closed with a lid and placed for fermentation. After about two weeks, bubbles will appear on the surface of the nettle infusion, and the infusion itself will turn dark. Nettle infusion at the rate of one part to 10 parts of water is diluted and watered with vegetable crops in the beds.
