Gingerbread tailed is one of the plants of the family called Grimaceae, in Latin the name of this plant will sound like this: Vincetoxicum caudatum (Mig.) Maxim. (C. maximoviczii Pobed.). As for the name of the tailed gusset family itself, in Latin it will be as follows: Asclepiadaceae R. Br.

Description of the tailed beetle

The caudate gullet is a perennial herb, the height of which can reach three meters. The stem of this plant will be curly and thin-cord-like, herbaceous, twisted, naked, it is also slightly thickened in the internodes, and the internodes themselves are long. The leaves of this plant will be broadly ovate, its length is seven to eight centimeters, and its width is about five to six centimeters. The flowers of the tailed beetle are painted in yellowish tones, they reach about seven to eight millimeters in diameter, the corolla blades of this plant will be either oval or oblong, and their length is four millimeters. Such blades will also be blunt, at the very edges they are filmy, they are endowed with five outer blades and five inner blades. The leaflets of this plant will be fusiform, their length is seven to nine centimeters, and besides that, they are also naked. The seeds of the tailed beetle will be flattened and ovoid, and their length is about five to six millimeters.

The blooming of the tailed beetle falls in the period from July to August, while the ripening of the fruits occurs in the month of October. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the Far East: namely, in the south of Sakhalin and on the islands of Shikotan and Kunashir in the Kuril Islands. For growth, this plant prefers sea coasts, mountain river valleys and mountain slopes.

Description of the medicinal properties of the caudate

Tailed gingerbread is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the roots and leaves of this plant for medicinal purposes.

The presence of such valuable medicinal properties should be explained by the content of the glycoside vincetoxin and cardiac glycosides in its composition: such elements will be present in the roots of this plant. It should be noted that descinanchogenin was isolated from the herb of this plant, which will be identical to sarcostine.

As for Japanese and Chinese traditional medicine, the roots and herbs of this plant are quite widespread here. A decoction prepared on the basis of the roots and dried grass of the tailed beetle is recommended to be used as a very effective diuretic. An infusion of the dried roots of this plant should be used as cystitis, edema and pyelitis. It is permissible to apply fresh crushed roots, stems and leaves of the tailed beetle to the wounds, which will contribute to their most rapid healing. In addition, such parts of this plant are also used as an antidote when taken orally. Fresh juice from the root of the caudate root is recommended to be used for gastritis, peptic ulcer of the duodenum and stomach, and in addition, these funds are also used for hemoptysis.

As a diuretic, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on the tailed beetle: to prepare such a remedy, you will need to take one tablespoon of crushed dry herb of this plant in one glass of water. The resulting mixture should be boiled over a fairly low heat for about four to five minutes, after which such a healing mixture is left to infuse for one hour, then this mixture is filtered very carefully. Take the resulting healing agent based on this plant three to four times a day, one tablespoon.
