To obtain high yields, the correct formation of the bushes should be carried out, while reducing the growth of leaves and lashes, and also ensure that the maximum amount of effort is directed to create a neat appearance of the fruits. Among all the varieties of cucumbers, there are some that belong to the category of parthenocarpic, in other words, which can pollinate themselves on their own. These types of vegetables should be grown using the one-stalk method. This is necessary because it is precisely on it that a third of the total amount of the crop will be laid. Other parts will form on the shoots from the sides. For the most simple and easy implementation of pruning, you need to divide the lash of vegetables into four areas. To begin with, you need to remove from the bottom of the stem all flower ovaries and lateral types of shoots in the axils in the area of the distance from the second to the fourth leaf. But the leaves in this situation must be left as they are.
This event is necessary to ensure good ventilation for the lower zone of the plant stem. As a result, the gardener will protect and preserve the plant in the greenhouse from root rot or the area next to it. As a result, the vegetable culture will direct all the efficiency and power to the formation of the first fruits. However, if you do not remove the lashes from both sides, then all the useful components will direct their effect on their growth and development, and thickets will form from the cucumber bushes. Then you can go to the second area, where other nodes are located in the amount of three or four pieces. You can also take a zone up to a lash height of one meter. It is here that one piece of cucumber fruit and a couple of leaves should be left on the side shoots, but the growth point must be eliminated.
Vertical type of cultivation of cucumbers
The third area of the main stem is where the height of the bush is between one and one and a half meters. Here, two pieces of leaves and vegetables should be left in it. In the fourth area, at the top of the plant, leaves and vegetables, three are left.
At that moment, when the main stem reaches a height to the wire, you will need to twine this stem in a circle twice. After that, you should destroy the point located after the fourth leaf. The next procedure will be to tie the lash to the trellis with twine. The very first shoot that has grown from the leaf axils will need to be eliminated here. And then the next three shoots are already placed along the wire, preferably in a checkerboard pattern, that is, one shoot should be located on the right side, and the other two on the left. Thanks to this arrangement, the maximum amount of light will fall on the cucumber bushes.
While the lashes will grow, each new half meter needs to be pinched. At the same time, each new shoot formed on the plant is a kind of continuation of the lash. Already during the strong formation of fruits, it will be necessary to pinch all the shoots that will be located outside the rows. Leaves and ovary are absolutely irrelevant here. Their growth should be directed deeper into the row, down.

The upper part of the growing shoot should always have excellent lighting. At the time when the lash of the plant grows to the upper part of the support, in no case should it be directed along the support in the horizontal direction.
