For such purposes, they use plectrantus, yasnotka, fuchsia or Glechoma budra, which feel good in shaded ampelous vessels.
Often, when creating compositions, various plants are used to give it a special appeal and originality. But do not forget about the growth features of each plant, so that later one of them does not drown out the other.
So, for example, only five plants need to be planted on a container with a diameter of 30 cm. It can be two verbena or petunia plants, one immortelle, one balsam and one sage.
European design
At the beginning of the article, we mentioned European houses decorated with ampelous plants. To create the same arrangement on your balcony, you need to choose pastel colored plants. The flowers should be small and abundant so that the flowering branches create a “gentle waterfall” flowing over the edge of the balcony railing. A white, light pink, creamy yellow shade with rare bright spots of dark pink and red colors will look good. Plants such as Lobelia erinus Lobelia, Pelargonium peltatum Pelargonium, Calibrachia, Sutera diffusus Sutera and Brachyscoma multifida are appropriate here.
