We greet spring with bright holidays! At the Moscow Maslenitsa festival, which starts on March 1, guests will see about 350 performances by creative groups: more than 200 performances and theatrical entertainment programs and about 150 concerts. Theater and music programs will take place at all fifteen city festival venues. Entrance to all events of the "Moscow Maslenitsa" is free for everyone
On Profsoyuznaya, Gorodetskaya, Yartsevskaya, Novopeschanaya, Mitinskaya and Khachaturian streets, on Dmitry Donskoy Boulevard and Orekhovy Boulevard, on Glory Square, as well as on Yunosti Square in Zelenograd and on Sireneviy Boulevard in Troitsk, performances and concerts will run from 17.00 to 19.00 on weekdays days and from 16.00 to 19.00 on weekends and holidays.
On Revolution Square, watch the performances of creative teams from 16.00 to 19.00, regardless of the day of the week.

For instance, project "Golden Mask" in the city " will present at the "Moscow Maslenitsa"
a program of five performances of puppet theaters from different regions of Russia (In total, they will be shown 23 times at the festival sites). The smallest visitors and their mothers and fathers will surely be delighted with performances based on their favorite fairy tales -
"The Scarlet Flower" performed by theater artists
"Puppet format" from St. Petersburg, "Kolobok" Yekaterinburg Puppet Theater, "Once upon a time, there were" (based on the fairy tale "Mashenka and the Bear") of the "Doll House" theater from Penza; play
"Pot-teremok" Theater "Petrushkina Sloboda" from Mytishchi will tell children about the secrets of pottery, but in the play

"Theater of Petrushka" performed by the artists of the group "Svoyi guys", an unusual interpretation of the story of the beauty and the beast from the creative association "Taratumb", the play about Maslenitsa from the theater "Scientist Bear" and many other productions.

interactive Maslenitsa performances. Three times a day, at 13.00, 14.00 and 15.00, actors in the images of the heroes of Russian folk tales - Alyonushka, Finist Yasniy Sokol, Marya Morevna and others - will invite young visitors to take part in the performances and feel like real artists !.

interactive carnival performance (play-play staged by director Sergei Kotyukh) will be staged every day at the passage from Manezhnaya Square to Revolution Square.
Every day, at the Moscow Maslenitsa venues, festive music programs and fiery folk concerts await visitors!
Especially for the guests of the festival, the project "Territory" will present concert programs of the State Academic Folk Ensemble "Russia" named after Lyudmila Zykina, the Ensemble "Perky accordionists" and the vocal ensemble "Girls" (they will be repeated 25 times)! Don't miss these performances at the festival venues on Gorodetskaya and Profsoyuznaya streets, as well as on Orekhovy Boulevard
Folk group members
"Argemonia" from St. Petersburg are preparing to appear on Manezhnaya Square in the form of "street musicians" of the early 20th century and are studying Moscow folklore and popular motives and melodies of that historical period!
The evening program of the venue on Tverskaya Square includes incendiary Russian music (from which the feet start dancing by themselves) from the folk song ensemble "Lyubo-Milo" and other folk groups.
In addition, at the festival, you will be able to listen to performances by the Petrovskie Guslyary folk music ensemble, the Free People Cossack song ensemble, the Moscow Cossack Choir, Michel groups, Doodkee Project, Monkey Folk and many other popular bands and performers!

Festival "Moscow Maslenitsa" is part of the cycle of street city events "Moscow Seasons". In 2018, 4.75 million people became guests of Moscow Maslenitsa. They purchased about 250 thousand pancakes and attended a total of about three thousand entertainment events.
In 2019, Moscow Maslenitsa will be held from 1 to 10 March at fifteen venues in the center and districts of the capital. Guests will enjoy culinary and creative workshops, outdoor games, street theater performances, folk concerts and other entertainment for the whole family.
