Robinia pseudoacacia (lat. Robinia pseudoacacia) - ornamental shrub; a representative of the genus Robinia of the legume family. Other names are robinia pseudoacacia, robinia pseudoacacia. One of the fastest growing species actively used to strengthen railway embankments and form a windbreak. Also, the species won the recognition of gardeners who use the site to decorate their personal backyards and summer cottages. North America is considered the birthplace of culture. In the same place, plants are found in natural conditions. Typical habitats are areas with calcareous soils, lowlands and deciduous forests.
Characteristics of culture
Robinia pseudo-acacia is represented by deciduous trees, reaching a height of up to 30 m. They are characterized by a spreading, openwork crown, which in appearance resembles a cylinder with a rounded top. The shoots of the culture under consideration are bare, olive, less often brown with a reddish tint. The roots reach a depth of 10-15 m; during the growth process, small tubers are formed on them, which carry nitrogen-fixing bacteria. The bark of the trunk of Robinia pseudoacacia is gray with a brownish undertone, endowed with longitudinal cracks, visible to the naked eye.
The foliage, in turn, is alternate, odd-pinnate, rather long, light, green, sometimes with a silvery sheen. It is always endowed with paired spines - stipules, not exceeding 20 mm in length. Leaves are formed up to 19 pieces. They are characterized by an elliptical shape, with a rounded tip and a wedge-shaped wide base. It should be noted that the leaves are endowed with short petioles and soft stipules. Flowers sit on shortened pedicels, collected in multi-flowered brushes. Typically, one brush contains up to 15 flowers.
The fruits are flat brownish linear beans. They contain no more than 10-13 medium-sized kidney-shaped seeds. The flowering of robinia pseudo-acacia is observed in the third decade of May - the first decade of June, sometimes later, which completely depends on the climatic conditions of the region. The fruits ripen not earlier than the third decade of August - the first decade of September.
Growing
It should be noted that young specimens of the culture under consideration have a negative attitude to low temperatures. In the winter cold, they often freeze slightly, but in the spring they quickly recover. Adult plants are more resistant to frost, but if low temperatures affect the root collar, the plants die. The pseudo-acacia is good for the transplant of robinia, it quickly takes root in a new place, and it actively grows.
Pruning also does not affect the culture in any way. Moreover, it is recommended to carry out it every spring. Dry, diseased, broken and frozen shoots should be removed. Robinia pseudo-acacia is undemanding to soil conditions, but it will not tolerate waterlogged, heavy clayey and highly acidic soils.
The location plays a huge role in the development of culture. It should be planted in well-lit areas. No protection from cold northerly winds is required. In heavily shaded areas, it is not worth growing pseudoacacia robinia. In this case, we are talking about young plants.
By the way, plants can be safely attributed to centenarians, the average life expectancy is 280-300 years. Neither city exhausts, nor the polluted environmental situation are not scary for the representative in question, because he can boast of smoke-resistant and gas-resistant properties.

Acacia pseudoscale lives almost everywhere and develops on various tree and shrub species. Most often it can be found on white acacia, plum, apple and hazel trees. As a result of feeding of females and harmful larvae, the number of leaves and their size are noticeably reduced, yellowed leaves quickly fall off, and shoots and twigs gradually dry out. The quality of the crop, as well as its quantity, also decreases markedly. And if the damage is very significant and repetitive in the flow
