Green radish (lat. Raphanus) Is a vegetable crop belonging to the Cabbage family.

Description

Rounded or slightly oblong roots of green radish are covered with very thin green skin. And inside each fruit, you can find a slightly loose, but at the same time very juicy pulp, colored pale green or white.

Green radish is distinguished from all other varieties by its incredibly pleasant and surprisingly delicate taste.

Despite the fact that Uzbekistan is rightfully considered the birthplace of green radish, it is currently cultivated almost everywhere.

Application

Green radish is used in cooking much more often than its black tribesman - this is due to its more delicate and refined taste. This radish is mainly cut into salads - this helps all other products acquire a slight bitterness and thereby add a special piquancy to the finished dish. However, in side dishes or in a stew, green radish does not feel any worse. It goes well with meat (and especially beef) - its taste instantly improves and becomes brighter.
