Of the varieties, Pich Blossom is especially popular. It is represented by low bushes (up to half a meter in height), bearing green foliage, which is painted in a brownish tint along the edge. Bremen is no less attractive. It is also characterized by low growth, but the leaves, unlike the previous variety, are light green, while racemose panicles have a dark pink color.

Connoisseurs of rich foliage liked the Montgomery variety. It forms medium-sized bushes (up to 70 cm in height), which are crowned with red-brown foliage and dense rhombic inflorescences of dark red color. It is impossible not to mention the Gladstone variety. It is famous for its undersized bushes and white dense inflorescences, which give the plants a special attractiveness and airiness.

It is difficult to ignore the variety referred to as Plumet. He, unlike previous varieties, boasts high growth (up to 85 cm) and creamy dense inflorescences. But the complete opposite is the Rheinland variety. Bushes in the process of growth do not exceed 50 cm, but its flowers amaze the mind, they are characterized by a carmine color with pink notes.

Of the specimens with raspberry inflorescences, the Bonn variety has won special love and recognition. It is characterized by medium-sized bushes (up to 70 cm) and green foliage. Of the dark pinks, it is difficult not to notice the Dusseldorf variety and the Koln variety. Deutschland is also famous among the medium-sized varieties. Its inflorescences are white in color, inflorescences, as in previous cases, are dense, rather large.

Growing features

Astilba Japanese feels great in moderately shaded areas with diffused light. The heat is extremely detrimental to her health, therefore, it should not be planted in open sunny areas. Moreover, the culture belongs to moisture-loving plants, but if you plant it in the sun, the water will evaporate more intensively, which the Japanese astilba will not tolerate.

It should be noted that plants develop more actively in shady areas, moreover, they are characterized by abundant flowering. In an open area, the inflorescences will not please with their large size, and the general decorative properties will suffer. The correct location is not the only aspect of rapid development. It is equally important to comply with soil conditions.

The soil should be moderately moist, even closely located groundwater will not harm the culture, therefore, you can safely plant it near a reservoir. And Japanese Astilbe will not tolerate commonwealth with dry soils, just like with the poor. It is advisable to thoroughly saturate the soil with organic matter and mineral fertilizers before planting, namely wood ash, humus and superphosphate.
