From 9 to 12 April, the Moscow Crocus Expo hosted an exhibition of household appliances Home Appliances. Design & Technologies 2015. The exposition was located at the site of the international project in the field of consumer electronics Consumer Electronics & Photo Expo. More than 21,000 specialists and end users took part in the updated concept of the event

The exhibition presented new products from Gorenje, Hotpoint-Ariston, Smeg, Zigmund & Shtain, Candy, Dyson, Gefest, Termikel, Redmond, Artel, Kumtel, Sunner, Sds-Group, Fiesta, De Luxe, Kuvings, Motorfan, Solgas, Yujin Robot, Borner Ist and other brands.

The premiere of the exposition was the installation project Smart Home - a studio room was built at the exhibition, equipped with a variety of smart products: from household appliances to lamps. The main feature of the new products of the project is undoubtedly remote control over a wireless Wi-Fi network from any convenient gadget - a smartphone or tablet. Among such products in the smart home were presented: the most easy-to-configure home control system ABB-free @ home®, large Candy household appliances of the SimplyFi series, Redmond small appliances of the Sky Kitchen and Sky Home series, Haier air conditioner, a mirror built-in AGATH TV, Hi-Fi system REVOX, Decolux automated curtain rods and curtains and UNIEL smart lamps. After visiting the project, one could get acquainted with the built-in docking station for the LoopDock tablet and the cordless handheld vacuum cleaner and Dyson designer fans. The second important area of the exhibition has traditionally become culinary. At two interactive sites of the TASTE Festival, culinary gurus gave master classes: Michel Lombardi, chef of the Reka restaurant; Denis Krupenya, chef of the Gastronaut restaurant and brand chef of The Stolovka project; Sergey Kuznetsov, host of the TV project "Lunch on schedule"; Ilya Lazerson, host of the EDA TV channel; Artem Knyazev, Chef of the KhlebSol magazine; Sergey Fadeev, Chef of the Clever Culinary Studio; Evgeny Nasyrov, chef of Cafe De Arts restaurant and many others. Visitors could learn new “delicious” recipes for making Easter cakes, traditional and exotic desserts, national Italian dishes, spring light salads, hot dishes and dishes for a festive dinner. The partners of the TASTE Festival were Gorenje, Hotpoint-Ariston, Smeg, FOREMA KUKHNI, KhlebSol, Domashny Ochag, Gastronom magazines, Food TV and the Academy del Gusto culinary studio.

The expositional part of the exhibition and the novelties presented by the participants deserve special attention.

Italian manufacturer SMEG showed at the exhibition a new line of small household appliances in the style of the 50s. Compact products with curved shapes have been developed not only for people who have an interest in cooking, but also for those who love to surround themselves with aesthetic things, value quality and performance. The new line is represented by a wide range of products: toasters, kettles, blenders and mixers. In addition, the new items are perfectly combined with each other and with the Victoria series of household appliances, which includes built-in 60-cm ovens, compact 45 cm high appliances, gas hobs, wall-mounted hoods and a warmer.

The Gorenje brand this year has relied on the premium line of kitchen appliances Gorenje +, which features improved functionality, high performance, exclusive design, as well as an extended warranty and quality technical support. The independent oven GP 979 X is equipped with the AUTObake program with 80 automatic recipes that can be selected by flipping through the photographs, STEPbake and SLOWbake functions for cooking, preserving, defrosting, deep-frying and grilling. Thanks to the IQcook program, the induction hob GIS 68 XC automatically adjusts the temperature and power of the hotplates, which prevents overheating and wicking of the liquid. Another feature of the novelty is the innovative IQsteam program that allows you to steam. In the NRC 6192 TX refrigerator, the NoFrost system is combined with the IonAir ionization and MultiFlow 360̊ air distribution systems, which is why it is named NoFrost Plus. The innovative AdaptTech Cooling technology controls the temperature when the refrigerator door is opened frequently: an intelligent system monitors and analyzes the frequency of door openings during the week, and then lowers the temperature in advance to maintain the ideal climate.

German company Zigmund & Shtain, taking part in the exhibition for the first time, presented a new line of Eclipse kitchen appliances for interior solutions in high-tech and futuristic styles. The design of the line was created by the American company Ideo, the author of the IPhone design. The main element of the series is the image of a solar eclipse on the panels of all products of the range: independent induction glass-ceramic surface CIS 162.60 DK, independent gas surface on glass MN 162.61 B, built-in electric steam oven EN 100.511 B, electric multifunctional oven EN 162.921 B, built-in microwave oven BM0 11.252 B and kitchen hood K 218. 61/91 B. Another novelty of the brand is the high-tech line of electric ovens EN 222.112, made in black, white and beige. Products are equipped with panoramic interior Smart Eye glass, touch control panel, tangential cooling function, heating booster, triple glass door and child lock function.

Italian company Indesit demonstrated at the exhibition the traditional line of large and small household appliances Hotpoint-Ariston, which can be purchased in Russia. Products included a NoFrost refrigerator, a washing machine, an electronically controlled digital electric kettle with an additional boil function, a digital toaster with 8 toasting levels, a slow juicer and a steam station with an innovative anti-scale system.

Turkish manufacturer Termikel demonstrated a novelty unique for the Russian market - the sensational CELOSIA hood with a built-in microwave oven. The original solution to combine two products in one not only saves space in the kitchen, but also makes life easier for housewives. The microwave oven is equipped with 12 functions and has a power consumption of 2.3 kW. The hood has 4 levels of cyclic suction with a maximum air capacity of 850 m3 / h. An equally interesting novelty is the “smart” built-in oven VO 6360, which can choose the required cooking time and temperature by its name. Also, the product is equipped with a special enamel - when heated, all food debris on it burns out.

No less interesting in the segment of built-in household appliances are new items from Russian and Belarusian manufacturers, which are worthy of foreign counterparts. According to the Market Research Institute GfK-RUS, there is a serious drop in purchasing power in the segment of large household appliances, which results in people preferring products that are more economical in price, but not inferior in quality.

Russian company Electronicsdeluxe showed new gas hobs and independent ovens. The simple set of functions of the hobs makes them affordable and easy to use. The line is made in 5 colors and is equipped with 4 gas burners with different power, a tempered glass worktop surface and a gas control system. The ovens have a non-fingerprint coating, 8 operating modes, a 6-button electronic programmer and retractable Push Pull knobs.

At the stand of the Belarusian brand Gefest it was possible to see for the first time completely fresh new items that will only go on sale this year. The range of kitchen appliances is represented by gas hobs, ovens and hoods, which are made in 4 different scales with patterns, and thus, in combination with each other, they represent a complete set of appliances in the same style. The company also presented built-in dishwashers for 9 and 12 place settings, which are equipped with a full range of useful options and save energy and water.

Various novelties of small household appliances could be seen at the exhibition. The most innovative of the presented ones are the Sky Kitchen and Sky Home lines from the Redmond brand, which has proven itself in the Russian market. The uniqueness of the new products lies in the ability to remotely control them from a smartphone via Wi-Fi. Each of the products is equipped with additional useful features. The Sky Kitchen range includes the SkyKettle, SkyCoffee, SkyCooker and SkyScales. The Sky Home line included 4 products: SkyDew Air Humidifier, SkyHeat Heater, SkyAirClean Air Purifier and SkyIron Iron. A unique innovation introduced this year by Redmond is the first multicooker with a lifting heating element. The innovative MASTERFRY function allows you to lift the heating element and cook any food in a special frying pan with a ceramic coating, including pancakes.

A novelty for the Russian market is the products of the national brand Artel from Uzbekistan. At the company's exhibition stand, there were products from various areas of consumer electronics and household appliances: TVs, refrigerators, mobile phones, stoves and air conditioners. Fundamentally new for the brand is the line of small household appliances, only planned to be launched in Russia and shown for the first time at the exhibition. The range of the line includes all types of appliances for the kitchen, home and beauty: steam irons, fans, microwave and mini-ovens, meat grinders, electric kettles, mixers, blenders, juicers, steamers, coffee makers, toasters, hair dryers, straighteners and curling irons.

Specialists of the industry traditionally paid special attention to the conference "Russian market of consumer electronics: development strategies in a crisis", which allowed discussing the most pressing issues facing the industry in light of the difficult economic situation. Analytics on the household appliances market were presented by specialists from the GfK-RUS Marketing Research Institute. First of all, there has been a serious rise in prices in the industry, especially in the segment of large household appliances - about 40%, in small - 17%. Although at the end of 2014 there was a growth in the KBT market due to the 4th quarter (+ 19% in money), in 2015 the demand for a stand-alone KBT fell by 36% in pieces, for a built-in KBT - by 27%. The purchase of equipment is no longer spontaneous; people choose products carefully.

The beginning of the consolidation of sales channels has become an important market trend. In large national chains, despite all the difficulties, sales growth is observed by 11, 9%. Do not forget about the importance of the online sales channel, today it participates in almost 80% of purchases of equipment, since even those who buy in offline stores pre-evaluate the product online. Already 20% of all sales take place directly online.

Analysts advise KBT manufacturers in 2015 to optimize their assortment, strengthen control over prices and consumer opinion, primarily by assessing the activity of players and analyzing user reviews online. In 2015, a general decline in the market of large household appliances is expected by 45% in pieces, 30% in rubles.

During the exhibition, the results of the PRODUCT OF THE YEAR National Award were announced, in which honorary awards for their best products were received by the brands Panasonic, Electrolux, Whirlpool, Hotpoint-Ariston, Hansa, Zigmund & Shtain, Melitta, Körting, BaByliss, Yujin Robot, Hyundai, Timberk, Polaris, Faber and ELIKOR.
