Dear growers, remember that fresh cut flowers need constant care and attention. With proper care, flower arrangements can last for weeks in a vase

When extending the life of cut flowers, keep in mind that metabolic processes take place in flowers. But due to the absence of a root, the process of decay of organic substances is taking place, the more active this process, the higher the rate of wilting and death of the flower. Our main task is to slow down these processes and increase the vital activity of the flower.

Carnations

One of the nice things about cloves is their durability. The bouquet can stand in ordinary water without any maintenance for about two weeks. As with all flowers, with every change of water, we update the cut in the part where there is a thickening. Dissolve an aspirin tablet in water at room temperature, the effect of which will increase the decorative effect of the flower. Spray the bouquet every day with small drops of water. Carnation does not like its neighbors, so do not put it with other flowers.

Lilies

Attractive lilies do not require specific care, as it might seem to an inexperienced grower. These amazing flowers will not lose their amazing appearance if you pay attention to them once a day. Choose lilies in the store when one flower is dissolved on the stem, the rest of the buds will bloom one by one. Carry out the necessary water changes every day, and treat the vase itself with detergent. Anthers should be pulled out, otherwise pollen will crumble, staining furniture and clothes. In addition, the absence of stamens will prolong the ideal state of the flowers in the vase. Remove wilted flowers immediately, keeping the decorative appearance of the bouquet.

Do not leave the container of lilies next to fruit compositions that release ethylene. Lilies are very sensitive to various variants of this gas. Place bouquets of lilies in large areas as they have a strong scent.

Lilac

There are several secrets to preserving the fragrant bouquet of lilacs. Firstly, do not break the branches of the bush, this is harmful to the plant, but rather carefully cut the branch with a sharp knife. Secondly, before placing in a vase, clean the lilac stems from excess leaves, “soak” the ends of the branches with a hammer, thereby increasing the access of water to the wood fibers. You can even remove the bark from individual branches if they are cut from old, large trees. Lilacs cannot stand the heat; for a vase with these flowers, choose a cool place in the apartment. Thirdly, add a few drops of lemon juice or a spoonful of hydrogen peroxide to the water where the lilac stands, and the lilac will thank you with a fresh look for a long time. Fourthly, lilac flowers love frequent water changes.

Asters

Asters are good for their unpretentiousness and stunning decorative appearance. Cut aster flowers are big fans of "drinking" cool water. Before putting the flowers in water, thoroughly clean the stem of small leaves, thereby preventing decay. For excellent freshness, add a teaspoon of alcohol to the water, which in this case acts as a preservative and antiseptic.

Orchids

The orchid enchants with its unusual beauty that needs special care. To begin with, the cause of the spread of bacteria is eliminated, all the lower leaves are cut off and the stem of the flower is cut. After this procedure, split the stem into quarters and place the orchid in warm water. For a long period of orchids being in a vase, you should remove the stamens and limit the bouquet from direct drafts. Do not spray the orchid, otherwise brown, ugly spots will appear on the petals.

Daffodils

Daffodils are long-lived among many freshly cut flowers, although they have their own peculiarity. The stems of these flowers give off a milky thick sap, so only use cold water and change it regularly. Narcissus is an aggressor for other flowers.
