For this we need 500 grams of green buds. They need to be crushed (therefore, young, still immature shoots are needed). Pour all this with five liters of water. The liquid should be infused (about 1-1.5 hours). Such a decoction is added to hot baths for colds (one glass of tincture is enough for a full bath).

Until recently, I was the same "kicker" of forest cones. Sometimes they, of course, attracted my attention, but this is in an … emergency. Or completely hopeless. When there was nothing in the forest … except cones.

But one day everything changed. As a child, my grandmother made a fabulous strawberry jam. Mom also cooked. But something in the recipe was clearly missing. Grandmother, without defeating the curiosity of a very stubborn child, told about the secret ingredient.

“Bumps,” she said calmly.

- Um … the same ones ?, - my childish brain clearly refused to accept this information. Grandma just nodded enigmatically. A few years later, the conversation was repeated. However, like the secret ingredient. So, I'm sharing the recipe.

For unusual jam you need strawberries (4 cups), sugar (1 kg) and pine cones (green - 1 kg). Fill the coniferous shoots with boiling water (2 liters) and put on fire. We boil the contents for an hour. We put it in a dark place for a day. The next day we drain the old water and fill the cones with new boiling water. Boil again for an hour. After the cones must be removed (they will no longer be useful to us), and add sugar to the coniferous broth. Cook until the sugar becomes transparent (because of the cones, the syrup will have a greenish tint, this is not scary). Then add strawberries to the contents, cook until foam appears. As soon as it appears, immediately remove the pan. The jam is ready.

The delicacy turns out to be unusual. The strawberry-coniferous aroma will surprise you. You should definitely try it.

We decorate the house

Of course, the simplest place where you can use cones is decor. And here it all depends on your imagination. Coniferous shoots are beautiful in themselves. Therefore, for example, a Christmas tree can be decorated with pine cones. To make it look unusual, just paint them in different colors, or in one.

Do you have a child, and in kindergarten or school they asked you to make a craft? Of course, the puzzled kid will come to you for help. Again, you can use the cones. Give them an unusual look with the help of plasticine (make a forest animal - a squirrel, a mouse or a bear).
