It's autumn in the yard, it would seem that all the gardening work has been done and you don't have to come to the dacha. But we still often go there (and someone constantly lives in the country or in the countryside) to take a break from the hustle and bustle, breathe fresh air, sit around the fire with friends. And I want our country house to still meet us with beauty and comfort.

But the dacha courtyard is often gray and dull, and you really want at least a little greenery. What to do? There is a way out - to plant small evergreen shrubs in pots or flowerpots. But at current prices, flowerpots, and simple flower pots, are not cheap pleasure, and it is dangerous to leave them in the public domain in an unguarded dacha.

In this article, we will look at how to make small flowerpots and baskets out of old plastic bottles on our own, or better with children. The baskets, by the way, will be useful later for picking strawberries or autumn "gifts" by our children and grandchildren. In addition, greens and peppers can be grown in such pots on the windowsill, which is especially important in winter. And beautiful, and practical, and not expensive. And most importantly, it is environmentally friendly, and your favorite greens will always be at your fingertips.

We start to tinker

So, for work we need: an old plastic bottle, preferably not white, but green or dark brown (preferably dark, since it is not very transparent), a rep tape (if you plan to put the pot on the street, then it is better to take a plastic tape, which decorate flowers and gifts), a clerical or mock knife, moment-gel glue, several buttons of different shapes (I have an autumn theme - leaves and acorns), a pair of twisting buttons for jeans (if you are making a basket), but they can be replaced with wire. I do everything on a special rug, but it is optional, it will be successfully replaced by an old newspaper.

We take a plastic bottle and cut it to the height we need, then cut off another part, 1, 5-2 cm wide, if we make a basket, this is for the handle:

The base is ready. Now let's move on to decorating. We will prepare everything you need for this process: glue, tape, buttons.

We begin to paste over the edge with rep tape (I will have a basket for the child):

If you are making a pot, then you can skip the next step and move on to decorating. And I'm making a handle for the basket. I also paste over it with tape on both sides. This is done not only for beauty, but also so that the child does not accidentally injure his hand on the cut of a plastic bottle.

The handle is ready. Now we pierce the handle and base in the places where we will connect. It is convenient to make a hole with a well-heated knife or a thick awl. The holes should not be very small, otherwise the base of a denim button will simply not fit through them:

Now we fix the handle. This method of connection, with the help of buttons, will help us create a movable connection, that is, if necessary, the handle can be lowered, it will not be constantly at the top.

And now we turn to the most interesting thing - decorating our future pot or basket. Here you can show your imagination with might and main and do whatever your heart desires: paste over with stickers, buttons, attach bows, make a strict minimalist style, paint and varnish. In general, here the scope for imagination is not limited by anything only by your desire and taste. Since I needed a basket for the child in the kindergarten, and at the same time urgently, I limited myself to gluing the buttons of the autumn theme (the basket is for a boy, which means you definitely cannot attach bows here). As a result, I got the following basket:

Good luck with your crafts! I would be glad if you show your baskets and pots.
