Site preparation for landing

The diameter of the root system is equal to the projection of the crown, in an adult tree about 3 m, in a young tree 1, 5-2. At this place, the grass and fallen leaves are removed, and a neat digging is performed. It is better to do this with a pitchfork, if you use a shovel, then bury it sideways to the trunk so that the plane of the bayonet stands with an edge to it.
In autumn, three types of fertilizers are applied to the orchard. For 1 sq / m 30 g of superphosphate + 200 g of ash, potassium monophosphate is given in liquid form (1 tablespoon + 10 liters of water, to activate assimilation + 1 tsp of citric acid). After digging, the ground is leveled with a rake so that there are no slopes.
2-3 days before planting, the soil is poured abundantly (20-30 liters per tree). If the water stagnates somewhere, adjust the ground level.
What to plant flowers in autumn
Before winter, you can sow marigolds, petunia, nasturtium, mattiola, escholzia, daisies, asters, calendula. From bulbous species with shallow deepening are suitable, for example: snowdrops, muscari, crocuses.
For pest problems, sow calendula, marigolds, or nasturtium. These plants contain phytoncides that do not tolerate pests and provide double benefits: beauty + health of the garden.
The beneficial effect will be enhanced by adding a substrate with endomycorrhizal fungi to the planting grooves / wells. Plants with mycorrhiza grow better, withstand the vagaries of the weather, are resistant to pathogens, to a lack of phosphorus fertilizers, and irregular watering. A biological product with endomycorrhiza is applied in liquid form or as a substrate (under the bulbs 1 tsp per hole or 2 tablespoons / 1 running meter).

In winter, there is a high probability of rotting / freezing, therefore, the onion planting is dense (shoulder to shoulder or in increments of 1 cm), the depth of the grooves is 4-5 cm. After work, the trunk circle is closed with fertile soil of a loose structure. For better wintering, they are mulched with hay / peat, in winters with little snow - spruce branches.
