Description of the coastal quinoa
The coastal quinoa is an annual herb that will fluctuate in height between twenty-five and seventy-five centimeters. Such a plant will be endowed with a straight stem. The leaves of this plant are linear-lanceolate, alternate, they can be either serrated or whole-edged. The flowers of the coastal quinoa are collected in rather long, hairy and intermittent ears. Such ears, in turn, will form a paniculate inflorescence. The male flowers of this plant are five-membered, while the female flowers will be two-membered.
The flowering of the coastal swan occurs in the period from July to September. Under natural conditions, this plant is found on the territory of the Dnieper region of Ukraine, Moldova, in the East Caucasian and Ciscaucasian regions of the Caucasus, in the Irtysh and Verkhnetobolsk regions of Western Siberia, on the Kuriles, in the Amur region, Primorye and on Sakhalin in the Far East, as well as on the territory of the following regions of the European part of Russia: Nizhnedonskiy, Nizhnevolszhkom, Trans-Volga and Black Sea regions. For the growth of quinoa, the coastal one prefers terraces, river cliffs, sea coasts, lake shores, salt marshes, and sometimes it can also be found as a weed.
Description of the medicinal properties of the coastal quinoa
Coastal quinoa is endowed with very valuable medicinal properties, while for medicinal purposes it is recommended to use the seeds and herbs of this plant. The concept of grass includes flowers, stems and leaves of the coastal quinoa. The presence of such valuable healing properties should be explained by the content of betats and alkaloids in the composition of this plant.
As for the Caucasus, an infusion prepared on the basis of coastal quinoa grass has become widespread on its territory. This broth is used as a very valuable diuretic. A decoction of the seeds of this plant is used as a laxative and emetic, which are also characterized by a very wide degree of effectiveness when used correctly. In the spring, coastal quinoa leaves can be used as a substitute for spinach for cooking cabbage soup and main courses, as well as for fermentation and for pickles.
As a diuretic, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a very effective remedy, you will need to take two tablespoons of chopped coastal quinoa grass for two cups of boiling water. The resulting healing mixture should be infused for one hour, after which this mixture is very carefully filtered. The obtained medicinal product is taken on the basis of coastal quinoa three times a day, one third of a glass before the start of a meal.
As a laxative, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on coastal quinoa: for the preparation of such a remedy, it is recommended to take one teaspoon of the seeds of this plant in half a liter of water. Then the resulting healing mixture should be boiled for about three to four minutes, left to infuse for one hour and, finally, strain very thoroughly. Take such a healing agent based on coastal quinoa one to two tablespoons before the start of a meal once or twice a day. It should be noted that this drug is very effective when used correctly.
