It is noteworthy that the inner sepals are slightly longer than the outer ones. Silky cinquefoil petals are large, they are twice as long as sepals, painted in golden yellow tones. Peduncles and sepals of this plant will be dressed with more or less long, dense and adjoining hairs.
Silky cinquefoil bloom occurs in the period from July to August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in Central Asia, the Angara-Sayan region of Western Siberia, in the Urals and the Volga-Kama region of the European part of Russia. For growth, silky cinquefoil prefers stony and fine-earth slopes of exposed rocks, steppes, in the middle and upper mountain belts.
Description of the medicinal properties of silky cinquefoil
Silky cinquefoil is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the entire aerial part of this plant for medicinal purposes. The presence of such valuable medicinal properties should be explained by the presence in the composition of this plant of flavonoids, ellagic acid, glycosides of quercetin, isorhamnetin and kaempferol.
A decoction prepared on the basis of silky cinquefoil herb is recommended for use for gingivitis, diarrhea, and in addition, for various acute respiratory infections in the form of baths. It should be noted that silky cinquefoil is endowed with the ability to manifest a very significant thromboplastic and antibacterial activity.
For colitis, enterocolitis and diarrhea, it is recommended to use the following very effective remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a remedy, take one tablespoon of crushed silky cinquefoil rhizomes per three hundred milliliters of water. The resulting mixture should be boiled for about ten minutes over a fairly low heat, and then this mixture is left to infuse for one hour and filtered very carefully. Such a healing agent based on this plant is taken three to four times a day in a warm form, one third of a glass.
For acute respiratory infections, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on silky cinquefoil: to prepare such a healing agent, you will need to take two to three tablespoons of crushed dry herb of this plant in two cups of boiling water. The resulting mixture is infused for two hours, and then filtered very carefully. Take this healing mixture four times a day, one third of a glass.
