The third petal will be smaller in size, ovate-lanceolate in shape and rather pale.

Common commeline blooms during the period from July to September. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the Far East, in Batumi in Western Transcaucasia, as well as in the Altai region of Western Siberia and in the Daursk region of Eastern Siberia. As for the general distribution, this plant can be found in North America, China and Japan.
