Bell siberian is one of the plants of the family called bellflower, in Latin the name of this plant will sound as follows: Campanula sibirica L. As for the name of the Siberian bell family itself, in Latin it will be: Campanulaceae Juss.

Description of the Siberian bell

The Siberian bell is a biennial herb, the height of which will fluctuate between twenty and sixty centimeters. The root of this plant is narrowly spun and branched, and it will also be hard and sometimes quite thick. The stem of the Siberian bell will be straight and ribbed, more or less branched, and extremely rarely can be simple. At the very edges, the leaves of the Siberian bellflower are somewhat hairy, and also vaguely rounded-toothed. The lower leaves will be elliptical, while the upper leaves will be almost entire. The flowers of this plant are rather small in size, their length is about fifteen to twenty centimeters, and such flowers are collected in narrow paniculate inflorescences, which can be either drooping or inclined. The corolla is painted in bluish-purple tones, and will also be divided up to one-third of its part into ovoid lobes.

Blossoming of the Siberian bell occurs in the period from May to July. Under natural conditions, this plant is found on the territory of the European part of Russia, Ukraine, Central Asia and Western Siberia. For growth, this plant prefers fallow lands, meadow steppes, dry forests, steep river banks, and can also be found as a weed in crops.

Description of the medicinal properties of the Siberian bell

The Siberian bell is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. The concept of grass includes flowers, leaves and stems of the Siberian bell.

The presence of such valuable medicinal properties should be explained by the content in the herb of this plant of flavonoids, anthocyanins, alkalides and the following nitrogen-containing compounds: choline and betaine.

The decoction, prepared on the basis of Siberian bell grass, is recommended to drink for diarrhea and various venereal diseases, and it is also used for rinsing with toothache and as a hemostatic agent. Preparations based on this plant in the experiment cause the expansion of peripheral vessels, and also have the ability to short-term lowering blood pressure and improve heart function. It is noteworthy that the roots of the Siberian bell will be quite edible.

For vegetative-vascular dystonia, according to the hypertensive principle, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on a Siberian bell: to prepare such a remedy, you will need to take three tablespoons of crushed dry herb of this plant in two glasses of water. It is recommended to boil the resulting mixture for about three to four minutes over a fairly low heat, and then this mixture is infused for one to two hours, after which such a healing mixture is filtered very carefully. Take the resulting product based on a Siberian bell three times a day for half a glass or one third of a glass. It is noteworthy that, among other things, such a decoction is quite acceptable to use for rinsing with vegetative-vascular dystonia of the hypertensive type. Subject to all the norms of reception and preparation, such a remedy turns out to be very effective and a positive result is already noticeable quite quickly.
