Description of golden clover

Golden clover is an annual or biennial herb. The stems of this plant will be about twenty to forty centimeters in height, such stems can be either straight or ascending. Leaves of golden clover are trifoliate with equal and very short petioles. The rather thin leaves of this plant will be no more than two centimeters long. The inflorescences are numerous and they are found in the upper part of the stem and branches in the leaf axils on hairy peduncles, the length of which will be about two to three centimeters. Actually, such peduncles will exceed the adjacent leaf, they will be located in spherical and most often elongated heads, the length of which is one and a half to two centimeters. Flowers of golden clover are painted in yellow tones, and after flowering, such flowers acquire a brown color and become drooping. The flowers of this plant are five to six centimeters long, and the pod is one-seeded.

Golden clover blooms in June, and this plant will bear fruit in July. Under natural conditions, this plant can be found on the territory of the European part of Russia, in Ukraine, in Moldova, in Belarus, in the Primorsky and Sakhalin regions of the Far East, as well as in the Ob region of Western Siberia. For growth, golden clover prefers places among shrubs, dry meadows, road outskirts, forest edges, river banks, as well as wet places and mainly sandy soils up to the mid-mountain belt. It should be noted that sometimes golden clover also grows as a weed.

Description of the medicinal properties of golden clover

Golden clover is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. The concept of grass includes flowers, stems, inflorescences and leaves of golden clover. The presence of such valuable medicinal properties is explained by the content of flavonoids, kaempferol, flavonols, isoflavones, rutin, biochanin, quercetin, tripolin, isorhamnetin, genistein, hyperoside, ononin, isoquercitrin, tripolin, and 7-A glucoside biochanin in the aerial part of this plant.

As for traditional medicine, a water-alcoholic tincture based on this plant has become quite widespread here. Such a very effective remedy is recommended for use as a general tonic, and it is also used for headaches and dizziness. It should be noted that the flowers of golden clover have the ability to produce a yellow color.

To prepare a medicinal tincture based on golden clover, you will need to take the previously prepared dry raw materials of this plant. You need to take about fifty grams of such raw materials. For preliminary preparation, the grass should first be ground in a mortar with a ceramic pestle. After that, such a herb of this plant is transferred to a dark glass container, about five hundred milliliters of alcohol are poured here, the resulting mixture is thoroughly mixed and left to infuse for about ten days. It should be noted that this container should be shaken daily. After the end of this time period, the resulting infusion should be carefully filtered. Now this tincture based on golden clover is ready for use, it should be noted that the tincture can be stored both in the refrigerator and simply at room temperature.
