Spear-shaped kakaliya is one of the plants of the family called Asteraceae or Compositae, in Latin the name of this plant will sound as follows: Sasalia hastata L. As for the name of the spear-shaped cacalia family itself, in Latin it will be: Asteraceae Dumort.

Description of spear-shaped cocoa

Kakali spear-shaped is also known as under-maturing spear-shaped. Lance-shaped cocoa is a perennial rhizome herb, endowed with a straight stem, the height of which will fluctuate between fifty and one hundred and fifty centimeters. The leaves of this plant are petiolate, broadly spear and endowed with triangular toothed lobes. The uppermost leaves of this plant will be broad-lanceolate and short-petiolate. The flowers of the spear-shaped cocoa are bisexual and rather large, they are painted in yellowish-white tones and are collected in baskets at the very top of the stem in a paniculate inflorescence. The seeds of this plant are endowed with long flies.

The lance-shaped cocoa bloom comes in the period from June to the month of August. It is noteworthy that the fruiting of this plant occurs in the month of August. Under natural conditions, this plant is ubiquitous in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. For growth, the plant prefers small-leaved and sparse forests, forest and riverine meadows, mountains along river valleys, and sometimes it is also found in pine forests. It should be noted that in some places the plant rises up to the lower part of the alpine belt.

Description of the medicinal properties of spear-shaped cocoa

Spear-shaped cocoa is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while it is recommended to use the leaves and roots of this plant for medicinal purposes. The presence of such valuable healing properties is explained by the content in the roots, leaves and rhizomes of the alakaloid hastacin, which will be endowed with an antispasmodic effect. Also, tannins of the pyrocatechol group are also present here; in the roots and rhizomes of this plant, there is a calcium salt of tartaric acid and inulin. The aerial part of the spear-shaped cocoa contains flavonoids, and fresh leaves will contain carotene and ascorbic acid.

As for traditional medicine, this plant is widespread here. Spear-shaped cocoa is used in the treatment of bronchitis, radiculitis, arthritis, various colds, liver diseases, and besides this, it is also used as a wound healing, laxative and hemostatic agent.

For bronchitis and urinary retention, it is recommended to use the following very effective remedy based on spear-shaped cocoa: for the preparation of such a remedy, it is recommended to take one tablespoon of crushed leaves of this plant per three hundred milliliters of boiling water. The resulting mixture should be infused for an hour or two hours, and then this mixture is filtered very carefully. Take the resulting product one tablespoon three times a day.

As a laxative, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on spear-shaped cocoa: for the preparation of such a remedy, it is recommended to take one tablespoon of the crushed herb of this plant in one glass of water. The resulting mixture should be boiled over a fairly low heat for five hours, after which this mixture is left to infuse for thirty minutes, and then this mixture is filtered very carefully. Such a remedy is taken on the basis of a spear-shaped cocoa, one third of a glass one or two times a day before the start of a meal.
