The plant has a very pleasant aroma, its root is fusiform, and the stems are erect and branched. The leaves are serrated along the edge, the upper leaves are sessile, and the lower ones are petiolar. The inflorescences are in the axils, small flowers will be collected in them. These flowers are regular in shape, painted in white tones with purple specks. The fruit is a smooth nutlet. Flowering occurs in June-August, and fruiting begins in September or October. The European zyuznik is found in Russia, Central Asia, the Caucasus and Siberia.
Wet areas are preferable for this culture; you can often find zyuznik along river banks, as well as in damp meadows.
In medicine, the stems of the European zyuznik are widespread, as well as leaves and flowers. During the flowering period, raw materials should be harvested. Traditional medicine recipes
For tachycardia, alcohol tincture should be used. To prepare it, you will need to pour the grass with vodka: three parts of vodka are taken for one part of the grass. The resulting mixture should be infused for one month. The resulting tincture should be taken three times a day, five to ten drops.
In case of thyrotoxicosis, an infusion should also be prepared. To do this, you need to take one tablespoon of raw materials, which should be poured with a glass of boiling water, and then infused for two hours. After that, it is necessary to strain the infusion. The infusion obtained from the European zyuznik should be consumed four times a day, about half an hour before meals, one fourth of a glass.
