The bloom of the Umbelliferae winter-lover falls on the period from June to the month of August. Under natural conditions, this plant is found in the territory of Primorye, Amur region, Ukraine, Sakhalin, Belarus, in the pine forests of the European part of Russia, as well as in Western Siberia.

Umbrella winter-lover is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while the herb of this plant contains gallic acid, resin, tannins, flavonoids, mucus, gum, quinic acid, andromedotoxin and organic acids.
It should be noted that the leaves and herbs of this plant are widely used in homeopathy. Preparations based on the umbrella winter-lover are diuretics and disinfectants of the urinary tract. Also in homeopathy, an essence prepared from a fresh flowering plant is used for cystitis, nephritis, hematuria, gonorrhea, urolithiasis, albuminuria, narrowing of the urethra, chronic gonorrheal urethritis and urinary retention.
