Broomstick bluish is one of the plants of the family called broomrape, in Latin the name of this plant will sound as follows: Orobanche coerulescens Steph. As for the name of the bluish broomrape family itself, in Latin it will be like this: Orobanchaceae Vent.

Description of bluish broomrape

The bluish broomstick is a perennial herb, the height of which reaches forty centimeters. The plant will be whitish in color, as well as cobweb-woolly. The stem of this plant is painted in yellowish tones, at the very base it will be club-shaped thickened, and it also shrinks with lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate scales, the length of which reaches twenty millimeters. The inflorescence of bluish broomrape will be rather thick and cylindrical. The length of the rim is fifteen to twenty millimeters, it is tubular and painted in blue or purple tones.

Blossoming bluish broomrape occurs in the period from May to June. Under natural conditions, the plant is found on the territory of the European part of Russia in the Volga region, as well as in the Dnieper region of Ukraine, in Moldova, in the Aral-Caspian region of Central Asia, as well as in Western and Eastern Siberia and in the following regions of the Far East: on Sakhalin, in Primorye and the Amur region. For growth, the plant prefers talus, sea terraces, dry pine and mixed forests, arable land, stony and gravelly slopes. It is noteworthy that bluish broomrape will parasitize on species of the genus wormwood.

Description of the medicinal properties of bluish broomrape

The bluish broomstick is endowed with very valuable healing properties, while flowers and roots should be used for medicinal purposes. The presence of such valuable healing properties is explained by the content of alkaloids in the plant.

As for traditional medicine, the infusion of the roots and the aerial part of this plant is quite widespread here. Such funds are recommended for use as a tonic and tonic. In the form of a decoction, bluish broomrape grass is used as a diuretic. The infusion of the flowers of this plant is recommended to be used for various kidney diseases, intoxications and sepsis.

As a diuretic, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on bluish broomrape: to prepare such a remedy, you will need to take one teaspoon of the crushed roots of this plant in one glass of boiling water. The resulting mixture should be left to infuse for one hour, after which this mixture should be very thoroughly filtered. Take the resulting product one tablespoon four to five times a day before the start of a meal.

In case of cystitis, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on bluish broomrape: to prepare such a remedy, take two teaspoons of the flowers of this plant in one glass of boiling water. The resulting mixture should be left to infuse for one hour, after which this mixture is filtered very carefully. Take the resulting product based on bluish broomrape in two tablespoons three to four times a day. It is important to remember that in order to achieve the greatest efficiency when taking such funds based on bluish broomrape, one should carefully observe not only all the conditions for the preparation of such funds, but also strictly follow all the norms for taking such a remedy.
