Larkspur retina is a perennial herb endowed with a straight stem, the height of which will fluctuate between sixty and one hundred centimeters. The leaves of this plant are alternate and petiolate, they are round and finger-dissected into five to seven rhombic lobules. The flowers of this plant are painted in blue tones, endowed with a horizontal spur and are collected in inflorescences, which are rather dense multi-flowered brushes. The fruit of the larkspur retina will consist of three polyspermous leaflets.

The flowering of the larkspur of the retina falls on the period from July to the month of August, while the ripening of the fruits occurs in the month of August-September. Under natural conditions, the plant is found in Central Asia, as well as in the Volga-Kama and Zavolzhsky regions of the European part of Russia. In addition, the plant is found in the following regions of Western Siberia: in the Irtysh, Altai and Verkhne-Tobolsk. For growth, the plant prefers rocky slopes, thickets of shrubs, steppe and dry meadows, gorges and river floodplains, peaks of low mountains and subalpine meadows.

Description of the medicinal properties of retina larkspur

Larkspur retina is endowed with quite valuable healing properties, while the raw material is the entire aerial part of this plant. Such raw materials should be harvested throughout the entire flowering period and during the budding period of this plant. The presence of such valuable healing properties is explained by the content of various alkaloids in the plant.

As for traditional medicine, here the infusion of the herb of this plant is widely used, which is used as an anti-inflammatory agent for various diseases of the liver and kidneys, for intestinal disorders, for pleurisy and for pneumonia. From the infusion of flowers or herbs, it is recommended to make lotions for blepharitis and conjunctivitis.

Preparations based on this plant should be used for diseases of the central nervous system, with multiple sclerosis and with increased tone of striated muscles. The infusion of larkspur herb is endowed with insecticidal properties, which makes it possible to use such a remedy for the destruction of various insect pests and insect parasites of agricultural crops.

It should be remembered that plants are poisonous, for this reason, increased caution should be exercised when taking funds based on the larkspur of the retina.

For multiple sclerosis, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on this plant: to prepare such a remedy, take one teaspoon of the herb for three cups of boiling water. The resulting mixture should be infused for eight hours in a sealed container in a warm place, after which this mixture is filtered very carefully. Take the resulting remedy based on the larkspur of the retina one third of a glass or half a glass three to four times a day.

For lotions for blepharitis and conjunctivitis, an infusion should be used in the form of lotions: ten grams of grass is taken in a glass of boiling water, insisted for thirty minutes and carefully filtered. Such an infusion can be taken one tablespoon three times a day for intestinal disorders and with increased tone of the striated muscles.
