The leaves of the garlic oak tree are quite dense, their length will be about fifteen to thirty centimeters. In shape, such leaves will be oblong-elliptical, they are sessile, short-fibrous from above, and from below the leaves are bulging-hairy.
The total inflorescence of this plant is rather narrow, while the axillary inflorescences are two times shorter than the covering leaves of the garlic oak tree. The length of the flowers is eight to ten millimeters. The calyx of this plant is tubular-bell-shaped, while the corolla is twice as long as the calyx. The corolla is colored in light brown tones, and sometimes it can be white. The plant is endowed with a garlic scent.
The flowering of the garlic Dubrovnik falls on the period from July to August. Under natural conditions, this plant can be found on the territory of the European part of Russia in the Volga region and the Black Sea region, as well as in Ukraine in the Dnieper region and the Carpathians, in Central Asia, in the Verkhnedneprovsky region of Belarus and in the following regions of Western Siberia: in the Irtysh and Verkhnetobolsky. For growth, the garlic Dubrovnik prefers swampy and damp meadows, places along the banks of rivers and lakes, as well as saline soils.
Description of the medicinal properties of Garlic Dubrovnik
Garlic Dubrovnik is endowed with quite valuable medicinal properties, while it is recommended to use the herb of this plant for medicinal purposes. The concept of grass includes the leaves, stems and flowers of the cinquefoil.
The plant is endowed with antiseptic, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, diaphoretic, hemostatic, detoxifying, anthelmintic and tonic effects.
As for traditional medicine, here the herb infusion is quite widespread for heartburn, diarrhea, belching, spastic colitis, with hyposecretion of the stomach, with flatulence and hemorrhoids, as well as to improve appetite. In addition, this infusion can be used as a diuretic and anthelmintic agent. Garlic oak herb extract is used for lupus, actinomycosis, lymphadenitis. Also, an extract of the herb of this plant is included in the collection, which is recommended to be used as a lotion for purulent rashes. The fresh flowering herb of this plant is also used in homeopathy.
A decoction of garlic oak leaves is used to treat various diseases of the spleen, and externally such a remedy is used in the form of lotions and compresses as a wound healing agent.
For colitis, diarrhea, heartburn and flatulence, as well as a diaphoretic and tonic, it is recommended to use the following remedy based on garlic oak tree: for its preparation, take two tablespoons of crushed dry herb in half a liter of water. Such a mixture is boiled over low heat in a sealed container for four to five minutes, and then left to infuse for one to two hours, after which it is thoroughly filtered. Take the resulting product one third of a glass three times a day.
