Description of the white anemone

White anemone is a perennial herb. The height of this plant can fluctuate between six and thirty centimeters. The rhizome of this plant is horizontal, smooth and cylindrical. In color, the rhizome of the white anemone can be either brown or yellowish. Root leaves will most often be single, they are on long petioles and will be thrice-dissected, they have short-petiolate segments: the lateral ones will be bipartite, and the middle one will be three-incised.

The stems of the white anemone are erect, glabrous or sparsely hairy. The leaves of the bedspread are on long thin petioles, and their length will be about one to two centimeters. Most often, the peduncles are solitary, long and adpressed. The diameter of the flowers of this plant will be about four to four and a half centimeters, the flowers will be oblong-ovoid white in color, outside these flowers will be reddish-purple in color. On both sides there are bare tepals, it is noteworthy that the stamens are many times shorter than the tepals, and the anthers themselves are painted in yellow tones. The length of the fruitlets will be about four and a half to five millimeters, such fruitlets are fruitful, and also short-haired, their nose will be short and slightly curved. The flowering of this plant occurs in the period from about April to the month of May.

White anemone can often be found both in Belarus and in Moldova, the European part of Russia and in Ukraine in the Carpathians and in the Dnieper region. This plant chooses damp forests, bushes, lawns, parks and forest edges for growth. This plant is not only surprisingly decorative, but also quite poisonous.

Description of the medicinal properties of the white anemone

This plant is endowed with rather valuable medicinal properties, while the herb of white anemone is used for medicinal purposes: flowers, leaves and stems. It should be noted that the plant has a fairly high content of chelidonic acid and saponins. The flowers of the white anemone contain protoanemonin. Actually, thanks to the content of such substances, the plant has such valuable medicinal properties. In homeopathy, this plant is very widespread as a diuretic, diaphoretic and sedative.

The infusion made from the herbs of the white anemone is characterized by a particularly effective effect when applied internally. Such a remedy is recommended for use in a variety of heart diseases, pneumonia, stomach pain, fever. It is noteworthy that the herb infusion can also be used as an abortifacient. Outwardly, an infusion of white anemone herb is recommended to be used for various pustular skin diseases, as well as for gout and rheumatism. Among other things, the herb infusion of this plant is also used as a skin blister. It should be noted that in addition to all its other advantages, this plant also has quite effective antibacterial properties.

For rheumatism, it is recommended to use the following remedy: to prepare it, you need to take one teaspoon of the herb for one glass of boiling water. This mixture is infused for one hour and then filtered. This remedy should be taken three times, one or two tablespoons at a time.
