Plum
Having bought a seedling, correctly determine the planting site. There should be no trees within a radius of three meters. In the shade, on the north side of the buildings, the seedling will be uncomfortable, you will not wait for the harvest.
Plum does not like spring pruning; it is necessary to form a tree only in autumn, before the beginning of leaf fall. You can shorten the branches after harvesting the fruit. A fresh cut does not need to be covered with a garden pitch. It should dry out within a week and then smeared over. You can shorten one-year-old branches until the tree wakes up: in early spring (until mid-April).
To increase the yield of plums during flowering, spray. The solution is made from one sachet of boric acid. Pour the powder into a liter of hot water, after cooling, add 5 drops of iodine. Green spraying will increase the quality of the fruit: 5 liters of water + 1 tbsp. l. greens.
What to do if plums rot on the tree:
• carry out a cardinal pruning, open the sun access to the crown;
• remove dried branches and growths with signs of disease;
• Gather berries that have fallen to the ground from the tree and take them outside the area;
• carry out 2 sprays with Bordeaux liquid (the solution differs in concentration: before flowering 3%, after flowering 1%).
If there are wounds with resin clots on the trunk and branches, carry out medical manipulations. Cut off the growths, clean up problem areas, cover with greenery, cover the wound with garden pitch.
Cherry
When planting, the cherry seedling does not go deeply, the root collar of the cherry should rise 4-5 cm above the ground. The best option for planting is a two-year-old. Caring for an adult tree is about disease prevention and feeding.
Cherries are fed every three years. Dolomite flour (1 bucket) + 1 glass of potassium sulfate +1 glass of double superphosphate is scattered into the radius of the crown. All this is mulched or loosened. Foliar dressing with boric acid (20 g of powder + 10 l of water + 5 drops of iodine) helps to increase the yield of the tree.
The problem with old wood is the formation of resinous deposits - this is a gum. A branch with such a lesion may dry out. For the treatment of gum, you need table mustard. Mustard paste is squeezed out from the tube over the place where it flows out, and the entire resinous surface is covered with it. A cotton cloth is applied on top and wrapped in polyethylene. The bandage is removed after a week.
Cherries do not bear fruit well alone, they need pollination. To increase the yield on the site, you need to have several trees. Uralskaya Rubinovaya is considered the ideal pollinator, suitable for all varieties of cherry. The best bush cherries are Zhukovskaya, Biryusinka, Metelitsa, Shokoladnitsa, Shadrinskaya, Subbotinskaya, Precious.

1. When the first signs appear, wrap the barrel with duct tape, sticky side out. Hang several jars of kvass on the branches.
2. Method for young trees. Mix slaked lime and ash in proportions 1: 1, dust the crown with powder.
3. Make a garlic infusion. 200 g of chopped / crushed cloves or arrows are poured into 3 liters of boiling water, soak under the lid for 1 day. Used in a diluted form 1 glass of infusion + 10 l + 2 tbsp. l. liquid soap.
4. Collect 500 g of needles (spruce or pine), fill with two liters of water, put in a dark place for a week. For the working solution, the infusion is diluted 1: 7.
Aphids primarily attack trees that lack phosphorus. The fight is more effective with unscheduled feeding with phosphorus fertilizers.
