The beautiful sight of sakura blossoms delights not only the Japanese, who arrange a weekend these days, but also does not leave indifferent gardeners all over the world. In Russia, in most regions, a wonderful shrub does not withstand winter frosts. What can replace sakura on the site?
Beautifully flowering species
For many years, scientists have conducted expeditions to collect planting material throughout the country. As a result, the most winter-hardy varieties were selected not only for the southern regions, but also for the Middle Belt.
Sakura can be replaced by:
1. Bean almonds.
2. Luiseania is three-lobed, viscous.
3. Micro-cherry extended, felt, glandular.
What are the characteristics of the listed species?
Bean almond
Shrub growth of 1 m. Differs in high drought and frost resistance. Rose buds in full dissolution reach a diameter of 2, 6 cm. Leathery, dense structure, lanceolate leaves are rarely affected by diseases.
Leguminous plants are propagated by shoots, seeds, grafting on cherry plum, blackthorn, plum or its rootstocks. Planted in arrays, using as a curb.
In recent years, scientists have identified forms with an unusual color of petals, blooming profusely:
• Dream - bright pink;
• Pink Mist - with a slight pinkness;
• White Sail - pure white.
A special position should be noted the hybrid F2 from the seedlings of the Mediator group. Bobovnik was crossed with David's peach. The best specimens have been selected for several years. The new version was named Pink Flamingo.
Its height is 2, 6-3 m, the bark of the branches is bright red-brownish. The diameter of the flowers is 2.5 cm. All parts of the plant are larger than the parental forms.
II Ryabov in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden brought out a new hybrid Peachnik, crossing a peach with a legume. A. A. Richter achieved good results in a similar way, combining the bean with common almonds. The best seedling was named Almond.
Its dense, broadly rounded crown reaches 3.5 m in height. Large pink flowers with a diameter of 4 cm. The plant has a high winter and drought resistance.

Winters well in all regions up to the level of Khabarovsk. The amount of planting material is increased by grafting on seedlings or rootstocks of plums, cherry-plums, in summer - by green cuttings.
The most beautiful varieties:
• Joy. Early flowering time. Light pink double buds in full dissolution with a diameter of 2, 6-3 cm.
• Korean woman. Dark pink terry inflorescences open a week later than the first grade.

3. The leaf plates are wrinkled, graceful, not susceptible to disease.
